About
Joanna Hopkins is a full-time, creatively-led artist and designer.
She is known for her unique artistic style and ‘outside of the box’ philosophy on creative solutions, to which she brings energy, dedication and an original talent. She has a contemporary view of the world and works comprehensively across all media. Joanna uses her extensive knowledge and experience gained in design capitals to drive her experimental technique.
In 2005, Joanna undertook a Certificate in Visual Arts at the Université du Québec Montréal in Canada where she followed lectures in
sculpture, drawing, and art history. In 2007, she completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Design for Visual Communication at the London College of Communication and graduated with a perfected design talent and collective portfolio of work.
During a four month transition between studies, Joanna secured a placement with the highly-acclaimed advertising agency Adelicious, where she learned the intricacies and dynamics of intellectual, quality advertising.
After completion of her studies in 2008, she then embarked on an adventure to the other side of the world to Sydney, Australia. During an enriching 12 month stay in Oz, Joanna fulfilled a
graphic design role at NaughtyFish Design, and also accepted a superb design opening at the internationally award-winning creative agency Frost*Design, founded by innovative, former Pentagram partner, Vince Frost.
In 2009 Joanna decided to pursue her aspirations in Europe and relocated to Geneva, Switzerland where she is currently based. Joanna loves to listen, travel, eat Italian food and produce exceptional design.
She is currently available for freelance, collaborations and all types of inspiring creative assignments. You can have a look at her work or even contact her with a creative proposition of your own.
