A series of three A4 pencil drawings exploring the technique of sketching to create a two dimensional illustration. Each drawing is concerned with areas of tone from light to dark, strengthening its visual outcome. The drawings are exploratory, with emphasis on observation and composition. Careful attention was given to reflect light, shadow and varying the tonal values for a more realistic rendition of the image. Leonardo da Vinci was used as the basis for acquiring the technical skills. Completed at UQAM.
